I began this body of work in the early 1990's. Initially I was simply looking for texture, playing with scraps of cheesecloth on canvas. But it quickly moved into the dress. I like using a dress as a place to begin a story, a story about a person without actually using a person. Photography, stitching, linoleum block prints, and acrylic paint are all used in this series.
